May 2016 saw reduced traded volumes compared to\u00a0last month<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and from May 2015<\/a><\/strong>. Generally early months of the compliance year see significantly reduced trading volumes. However,\u00a0May 2015<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>saw high trading volume due to the Supreme Court order on RPO compliance.
\nCompared to last month, this month saw a reduction of demand by approximately\u00a044.3%<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a021.7%<\/strong>, for non-solar and solar respectively. The total transaction value stood at\u00a031.5<\/strong>\u00a0Crores as compared to\u00a0113<\/strong>\u00a0Crores last month.
\nThis month also saw significant rise in total REC issuance, which stood more than double of what it was last month. However, while solar issuance fell marginally, there was a steep rise in issuance of non-solar RECs. This also resulted in increased quantum of Sell bids at the exchanges.
\nAnalysis of\u00a0Trading:<\/strong>
\nNon Solar \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Clearing ratio in exchange stood at\u00a01.15%<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a01.38%<\/strong>\u00a0in IEX and PXIL respectively for Non Solar\u00a0REC\u2019s. A total of\u00a0161,858\u00a0<\/strong>RECs\u00a0<\/strong>were traded as compared to\u00a0290,457\u00a0<\/strong>RECs traded in\u00a0April.
\nSolar \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Clearing ratio stood good at\u00a00.61%<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a00.41%<\/strong>\u00a0in IEX and PXIL respectively, with total clearing volume falling marginally as compared to last month.
