{"id":3570,"date":"2016-02-03T10:44:31","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T05:14:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reconnectenergy.com\/blog\/?p=3570"},"modified":"2016-02-03T10:44:31","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T05:14:31","slug":"hperc-declares-appc-for-2015-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reconnectenergy.com\/hperc-declares-appc-for-2015-16\/","title":{"rendered":"HPERC Declares APPC for 2015-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) recently came up with its order on the Average Pooled Power Purchase Cost (APPC) for the financial year 2015-16.<br \/>\nThe definition of APPC followed by HPERC is in line with the CERC definition and can be read as:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<em>Pooled Cost of Purchase means<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>The<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>weighted average pooled price at which the distribution licensee has purchased the electricity including cost of self-generation, if any, in the previous year from all the energy suppliers long-term and short-term, but excluding those based on renewable energy sources, as the case may be.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nThe APPC for the financial year 15-16 has been determined as\u00a0<strong>Rs. 2.31 per Unit,<\/strong>\u00a0by the commission which shall continue for further period with such variation or modification as may be ordered by the Commission for the next financial year.<br \/>\nThe APPC for FY 15-16 is\u00a0<strong>3.12% higher<\/strong>\u00a0as compared to the APPC of FY 14-15.The graph given below depicts the APPC\u2019s determined by HPERC over last four years and how the APPC rates have increased over the past three years :<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/44.224.164.21\/new__w\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/hperc_appc_y-o-y.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3586\" title=\"hperc_appc_y-o-y\" src=\"http:\/\/44.224.164.21\/new__w\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/hperc_appc_y-o-y.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"583\" height=\"374\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reconnectenergy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/hperc_appc_y-o-y.png 583w, https:\/\/reconnectenergy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/hperc_appc_y-o-y-300x192.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 583px) 100vw, 583px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe HPERC order can be accessed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hperc.org\/orders\/86-15.pdf\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) recently came up with its order on the Average Pooled Power Purchase Cost (APPC) for the financial year 2015-16.
